TABLE OF CONTENTS (Click to navigate to a section)

Overview

GXAs, Adjuncts, and Faculty accrue a flat amount of 4 hours of sick time each month, up to a maximum of 48 hours. These employees can only use sick time that they have accrued, and they can view their accruals and enter their sick leave in MyDU>MyWeb.

For grant-funded non-benefited employees (paid from 3xxxx funds), any sick leave used will be charged to the unit. The unit decides what FOAP to use and enters this FOAP on the employee's grant timesheet, and the unit can use different FOAPS for different employees and/or different pay periods. If sick time is used but not recorded on the grant timesheet, it will be charged to the Admin FOAP for that unit.

NOTE: Sick leave is not paid out when someone leaves DU. If a non-benefited employee takes a benefited position, any non-benefited sick leave will move with them to their benefited position.
