Entering Sick Leave for Non-benefited Employees

Learn how to enter sick time for non-benefited employees in PioneerTime.


This article applies to supervisors of non-benefited employees.


Non-benefited employees are eligible for paid sick leave, which must be entered into PioneerTime by their supervisors. For more information, please see the Paid Sick Leave Procedure article for more information.


To enter sick time for a non-benefited employee:

1. Log in to PioneerTime.


2. Select the correct pay period, and double click on the employee's name to open and review their timecard.


3. Select Accruals at the bottom of the employee's timecard in PioneerTime to verify the employee has accrued enough sick time to use. The available balance will be listed under Sick CO. For more information on this step, please see Accrual Balances article.


 

4. Navigate to the date on which the employee has requested sick time. In the Pay Code column, select Sick Co.


5. In the Amount column, enter the amount of sick leave being used, based on their scheduled hours. 


6. Click save. Note: if the non-benefited employee has not accrued the amount entered, PioneerTime will generate an error.
