This article applies to non-exempt (paid bi-weekly) employees.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

PioneerTime automatically deducts a lunch break when six or more consecutive hours are worked. As a standard, benefited employees have a one hour lunch deduction, and non-benefited employees have a 30-minute lunch deduction.

Benefited employees who want to change their deduction from one hour to 30 minutes should reach out to their business officers for approval since there are budgetary implications to this change. If the business officer approves, they can reach out to University Financial Services to have this updated.
