Running Reports in PioneerTime (For Supervisors)

Learn the skills needed to run various reports in PioneerTime.


This article applies to PioneerTime supervisors.


This tutorial offers an overview on how to run commonly used reports in PioneerTime. There are a wide variety of reports available to supervisors, and the skills learned in this tutorial can be used to run other reports in PioneerTime.

Accrual Detail Report


The Accrual Detail Report shows leave accrual information for benefited employees.


1. To get to the Reports menu, from any view:

  • Select a group of employees to report on, then click Go To and click Reports. 

    OR 
  • Click on at least one employee to activate the Go To button, then click Go To and click Reports.



2. From the left menu, click on the '+' to expand the All category and select the report. For this example, click on Accrual Detail Report. Enter the parameters in the blue section:

  • People: refers to the employees chosen in step 1
  • Time Period: select a specific date, pay period, or range of dates using the calendar icons
  • Accruals: select accruals in the Available column and then click the > button to move them to the Selected column


3.Click Run Report.



4. A list of recent reports will populate in the Check Report Status tab. Reports that are ready and can be opened will have a status of Complete. If the report status is Waiting, wait a few seconds and then click the Refresh Status button to show the report as complete. 


5. Double click the report name to open it.



Employee Job Detail (for employees with multiple positions)


1. Sort the employees that have multiple positions by clicking the Multiple Jobs column and sort the order to Descending
 

2. On the right hand side, select Go To and then Reports.



3. On the left of the following page, select the All dropdown list and then select Employee Job Detail Report


 


4. Select Run Report



5. A list of recent reports will populate in the Check Report Status tab. Reports that are ready and can be opened will have a status of Complete. If the report status is Waiting, wait a few seconds and then click the Refresh Status button to show the report as complete. 


6. Double click the report name to open it.



7. Once the report is downloaded and opened, you will be able to see all the jobs for employees with multiple positions, including their:

  • Name
  • DU ID number
  • Position Numbers
  • Transfer Sets (to adjust their timecard in the transfer column)



Other useful reports


The Employee Hours by Job report is helpful for supervisors of non-benefited employees when monitoring the 1000 hour limit. This report shows how many hours an employee has worked in each job.
