Learn how holiday hours are entered in PioneerTime.

This article applies to all benefited leave-eligible employees.

PioneerTime automatically enters holiday time for University holidays onto timecards and leave calendars. 

• For benefited non-exempt employees who must record time worked, this holiday entry will appear in increments of 7.5 or 8.0 for full days or 3.75 or 4.0 for half days. 

•  For benefited exempt employees who do not record time worked, holiday entries will appear as 0.0 hour placeholders. 

Note: For partime benefited employees the PioneerTime system may not be able to determine modified schedules (less than 5 days a week) or reduced daily hours (less than a full day or half day) which will cause holiday increaments to appear as incorrect sums. Supervisors should reach out to University Financial Services (UFS) to determine how to modify holidays in the PioneerTime system for these rare situations.
